September Diaries, Morning Routine Chaos: 2 AM Thoughts, CVS Runs, and Pilates Plans

Wednesday 9/10

🎧 Today’s vibe

Don’t call me an overachiever. My morning routine was a total clusterfawk. I was up at 2 AM, not by choice- by malfunction. My brain woke me up spinning about a doctor’s appointment I didn’t want to miss. Rightfully so, it was today. Once I finally shut that loop down, another one started. That’s the thing about 2 AM: once the door’s open, the thoughts don’t line up politely… they pile on.

I am pretty sure we woke up around 7… that was fun, realizing I’d totally forgotten Jack’s science lab materials. Surprisingly, that one didn’t make the 2 AM thought loop. Quick trip to CVS, grabbed almost everything, and luckily, his teacher had backups for what they didn’t have. Made it home, pulled together a little breakfast for me and JFo, then out the door by 9:45.

I’m not really feeling it today. Writing. Moving. Morning. Lol doing things. Buuuut, we don’t allow that kind of self-talk. F* it- Here I am. Doing the thing.

Luckily, I do not have a run scheduled. It’s a pilates day. I feel like that’s enough for me right now.

Building stamina and endurance (this piece from Runna explains exactly why slowing down on training days matters).

Side note, I will say, knowing that this is a small audience right now, makes it a little easier just to word vomit. & habit build…Here’s the messy side of my writing. 🙂
